Tuesday, October 2
New Music Ensemble - "Music of Frank Zappa, Michael Daugherty, Russell Reed, John Lato, and Susan Botti make up this first New Music Ensemble concert of the season." Come enjoy the sounds at McCullough Theatre at 8 PM.

UTLA Informational Session - "Explore a career in the entertainment industry: Live, study and intern in Los Angeles. Open to all majors! Earn UT credit! Fall, Spring or Summer enrollment! Phil Nemy, Director of the UTLA Program, will be on campus to provide information and answer questions. Stop by the table in the Winship Atrium and grab some free pizza while you're there!" These sessions are running through October 2nd through the 4th and there are held from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. Get more info here.

Lectures on Art in Black Diaspora: Locating the 'Universal' in the 'Specific' - "The College of Fine Arts Speakers Series is pleased to present Carla Williams. Ms. Williams is a photographer, writer, and activist known for her work on identity, sexuality and race." Come hear Ms. Williams speak at 5 PM in Art 1.102.


Friday, October 5
Piano Concert - Come watch our fellow FAC member and administrative assistant Shuai Chen play the piano! Support him at 6 PM in the Bates Recital Hall.

Kaleidoscope Fashion Show - "The fashion show will showcase an exotic fusion of African and American fashion. The evening will begin with an exhibition of African art, home decor and fashion, followed by a runway show of our clubs' clothing designs." This exciting fashion show is sponsored by the Fine Arts Council, so come see the show at 6 PM in the Union Ballroom.


Sunday, October 7
FAC Public Art Program Meeting - Andree Bober, Director of Public Art Program at UT, will attend FAC's Sunday meeting to talk about the program and to find out how to engage students in her work. Get some more information here.

SURE Walk - Come walk with SURE (Students United for Rape Elimination) and help them fund raise. Need more information? Check out their website. It will take place at 8 AM at the East Mall.


Tuesday, October 9
Statue Unveiling - Witness the unveiling of the Cesar E. Chavez statue at the Main Mall at 11 AM. Check out www.CesarChavezStatue.org for more information.
