Fine Arts Week! April 7-9

Get ready for Fine Arts Council's second annual Fine Arts Week!

From April 7-9 Fine Arts Council will host three outdoor picnic lunches to showcase theatre talent in music areas, art talent in theatre areas, and music talent in art areas.


FINE ARTS WEEK SCHEDULE:


Monday, April 7: MUSIC SPACE, 12-2
Come to the area near MRH by the abstract
bronze sculpture (across from the Texas
Memorial Museum)


Activities:
  • Drumming Demonstration from graduate performers in Ethnomusicology and theatre departments
  • SNO-CONES!!!!
  • games + prizes!

TUESDAY, April 8: ART SPACE, 12-2
Gather on the grassy hillside of the ART bldg
adjacent to the mustang statue but facing Winship
theatre building.


Activities:
  • Musicians will be dispersed throughout the lawn encouraging others to play along!
  • Jimmy Johns sandwiches

WEDNESDAY, April 9: THEATRE SPACE 12-2
Come one come all to the east side of Winship alongside
Waller Creek



Activities:
  • "Portraits by the Artist", David Tenorio will be doing free-form portraits for students
  • Lindsey Bailey, a studio art student is creating a sculptural installation around Waller Creek. Check out her other works at www.cakecrush.com
  • PIZZA and prizes!
